So far, The Chadwell Hillbillies have warmed up the year with a 40th birthday party for the lovely Sarah in St Albans.
The rest of 2016 flew by, and now we’re in May 2017.
Highlights of the past year include being the host band at the South Essex Bluegrass Festival, and event that will be repeated this year from 13-16th July 2017. Get your tickets from the website or through Facebook.
In January, we headlined at Haverfolk in Romford: “The Hillbillies gave a terrific show….”,
In March, we we the featured act at the renowned Hoy at Anchor Folk Club: “….the excellent Chadwell Hillbillies – a slice of quality Bluegrass…”
May saw us opening the show on Friday night at the Orwell Bluegrass Festival, and there are a number of private bookings for barndances coming up.
In July, you can see us at our good friends’, the Little Opry at the Tom Thumb theatre. Only a few tickets still available, so don’t miss out.
The Chadwell Hillbilles managed two gigs on St George’s Day. Below are some pictures of a set we did for Lee Chapel North’s Helping Hands open day. We very much enjoyed playing for Jolene’s local hall, and they obviously enjoyed us too:
“Thank you for a terrific performance on Sat with the Hillbillies, have received nothing but positive feed back, just everybody loved you. Thank you from my team for making the day very special. Come again soon.”
The same evening, we were pleased to return to Billericay School for the Quilters PTA Annual Barndance, very regular and also very happy customers of ours.
Saturday 21st November sees The Chadwell Hillbillies, for one night only, being joined by The Cocktails to bring you a fantastic evening of entertainment. Don’t miss this feast of live music – two bands and free entry at The King’s Head, West Tilbury. Come and hear some toe-tapping music.
What a fantastic gig! A beautiful, handsome couple and a village hall full of people enjoying themselves and the dancing. Here’s a short video of the evening barndance.
We had a fantastic night last Saturday with the good people of Bulphan. Lots of dancing and merriment – fun was had by all who attended. The band really enjoyed it too – great to have such a receptive audience who joined in with all the dancing. The venue is where we are hosting the 2015 South Essex Bluegrass Festival.
In the meantime, here’s a couple of videos of the dancing. Don’t forget, if you want to book us for a barn dance, please contact Richard on 07834 518335.
The Chadwell Hillbillies are holding their very own festival! From Thursday 9th July to Sunday 12th July, we will be hosting the second annual South Essex Bluegrass Festival. The Chadwell Hillbillies themselves will be playing on the Saturday afternoon, but this fantastic warm, friendly festival has a range of amazing, talented bands performing on the Friday evening through to the Saturday night, with an morning gospel concert on the Sunday.
